This is the first full game they developed. Montreal was formed in 2009 to do mostly secondary work (DLCs and ME3 multiplayer). Andromeda was developed by Bioware Montreal studio and not the main Edmonton one. On that note, since Bioware is now a subsidiary of EA and 'Bioware' in name only - how many games has EA made better over the years, how many franchises rebooted (and this is absolutely an attempt at a reboot), or otherwise improved upon from studios they have acquired?ДЎ. I just hope they learn from 'mistakes' (if I can say so), and make things right, like they did with Dragon Age Inquisition It can still be a good game, just not the Mass Effect we wanted. Hopefully this will be a nice entrance into a franchise that, for me, I just had to allow to pass me by during a particularly busy and trying period in my life.ДЄs a fan of the original trilogy, I'm sadden with the fact that Andromeda does not live up with the expectations.

There are some ugly bits such as the 'hold ' interface but on PC mods will surely change that and, honestly, it makes sense on consoles. So, yeah, I'm going to pick this one up and give it a shot. I like the sound of an MMO-ish game that's single player! MMOs can be fun but all too often, I just have neither the time to devote to multiplayer due to life or I just don't' want to deal with other people's BS between trolls and whining. I like the sounds of a major RPG game set in space. Sure, FO4 dumbed things down a bit more than I care for but it's still a good game, IMO. Fallout 3, for example, was a huge move from the isometric days to the FPS-ish game it became and the franchise has done well despite that.

OK, that having been said, changing the formula up can be a good thing for a series. I admit that had I played the originals I may have the same opinion many are stating: that they shouldn't futz too much with the original formula. So I have very little to worry about in terms of 'Is this really a Mass Effect game'.
